Heather was born and raised in Iowa City, Iowa, where she began venturing off on her own at age two. (Not recommended by parents.) She’s loved to travel ever since, and with family and friends in far-flung places, she’s had the opportunity for unique experiences.

Impressions from Heather’s wanderings have sparked many creative activities, all undertaken with a sense of connection to the natural world. Her photography is a way of seeing the environment through different eyes, reminding us of the beauty and grace in our everyday surroundings which we so often take for granted.

Now living on the East Coast, Heather has developed an appreciation for water, play, children and animals­ or any combination thereof – which inspires her portraits and brings out the personalities of her subjects. She invites you to contact her to book a photo session.
